FRIENDSHIP BLANKETS As a personal statement, it was very important to find an American blanket manufacturer when I began searching for blankets to give to the homeless. As soon as I read about Northwest Woolen Mills (located in Woonsocket, RI) I knew they were the company I wanted to partner with. Northwest Woolen Mills is the largest manufacturer of humanitarian relief blankets in the United States. Among their partners are The American Red Cross, branches of our Military and many organizations who provide Disaster Relief and care for the homeless. Northwest's generous philosophy within their Friendship Blankets Program allows our business to purchase a minimum of (1) dozen blankets at a time rather than the "standard" minimum purchase of (4) dozen blankets. This arrangement allows us to purchase blankets as the needs are made known without having to rent storage facilities. HOW YOU CAN HELP You can help by selecting to *purchase (1) or more blankets at $12.50 each which, includes shipping to our distribution point. (Blankets are listed under CATEGORIES on the Home Page.) You can also help by purchasing any cross pendant or cross necklace available on either of our websites, www.InspirationalGiftsAndDecor.com or www.LittleCherubsBoutique.com . DISPERSING OF FUNDS Funds collected from sales of Friendship Blankets are deposited into a bank account specifically set up for this program. ALL our profits from the sale of any cross pendant or cross necklace on either of our websites are also deposited into this account. Those funds are used to purchase blankets when necessary or to meet basic needs of the homeless in our area. Blankets will be distributed by volunteers from The Community Fellowship in Collinsville, VA. (Turn speakers down if you do not wish to listen to accompanying music.)
